Glastonbury is well known across the world as host to the largest festival of performing arts in the world. Every year in June, over 100,00 music and comedy lovers travel to experience the vast array of creative talent that the festival offers on Worthy Farm.

For the rest of the year Glastonbury is a quiet town, steeped in folk lore, history and legend that include those around King Arthur, The Holy Grail and Joseph of Arimathea.

Walkers will enjoy a bracing walk up Glastonbury Tor, a beautiful landmark that rises 158 meters and is topped by the ruins of a 15th Century church - St Michaels. Remains excavated at the Tor suggest that it may have been a Saxon fort or early Christmas hermitage.
